Starting out as a young fashion photographer, Australian Martyn Thompson sent some images of his flat in London to Ilse Crawford, who was editing Elle Decoration at the time….the rest as they say, is history. Now a prominent international interiors photographer, Martyn’s portfolio captures the atmosphere, spaces and lives of the inhabitants, providing a sneak-peek into the homes of some of today’s most respected style makers; fashion designer Anna Sui, Francisco Costa, Creative Director of Calvin Klein and Italian jewellery designer Elsa Peretti, are just some of those featured. His work captures the poetic beauty of interiors with sharp observation, and gives the reader a sense of the personalities who reside in these special spaces. Published by Hardie Grant, £30, and available at all good bookstores and online here.
